GRID Impact Hiring REMOTELY! Women's Financial Inclusion Jobs (Fintech & Data) (2025)

Here’s a bold statement: Women around the world still face significant barriers to safe and inclusive financial systems, and GRID Impact is on a mission to change that. But here’s where it gets even more compelling—they’re hiring two key remote roles to drive this change, and these positions are not your average job postings. If you’re passionate about evidence-driven solutions, feminist principles, and creating real impact, this might just be your calling.

GRID Impact, a research and innovation collective founded in 2014, is expanding its Women’s Financial Inclusion (WFI) Program. They’re seeking professionals who are not only skilled but also deeply committed to building financial systems that prioritize women’s safety, trust, and empowerment. And this is the part most people miss: these roles aren’t just about technical expertise—they’re about reshaping the way financial services are designed and delivered for women globally.

Two Transformative Roles: A Closer Look

1. Global Fintech Innovation Challenge Lead (WFI)

Contract Type: Part-time, one-year minimum
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote, with travel across Africa, Asia, and the United States
Application Deadline: 30 November 2025 (rolling review)

Purpose & Opportunity:
Imagine leading a two-year global initiative that could redefine how women experience financial services. GRID Impact, in partnership with Accion Ventures, is launching a multi-stakeholder challenge to identify and scale evidence-backed practices that enhance women’s safety, confidence, and overall experience in financial systems. But here’s the controversial part: Can innovation challenges truly bridge the gap between theory and practice? The Challenge Lead will not only design and execute this initiative but also translate insights into actionable tools for financial service providers (FSPs) and investors. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on complexity and believes in the power of collaborative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the entire challenge process, from outreach and selection to post-selection support.
- Coach a cohort of selected FSPs to document and replicate harm-reduction practices.
- Develop case studies and co-create a Financial Service Provider Playbook.
- Support the creation of an Investor Toolkit to align investment practices with feminist and equity-centered principles.
- Facilitate global workshops and represent GRID in high-level forums.
- Embed feminist, equity-centered, and harm-reduction principles into every decision.

Ideal Candidate:
You’ve got 8+ years of experience leading multi-country programs in inclusive finance, fintech, or related fields. You’re a master facilitator, a skilled program manager, and a champion of feminist and ethical design. Experience in African and Asian markets? Even better. Multilingual fluency? A definite plus. But here’s the question: Are you ready to challenge the status quo and drive systemic change?

2. Senior Data Analyst (WFI)

Contract Type: Part-time, one-year contract
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote, with travel as needed
Application Deadline: 30 November 2025 (rolling review)

Purpose & Opportunity:
Data is powerful, but only if it’s transformed into actionable insights. The Senior Data Analyst will lead segmentation analyses and evidence synthesis for GRID’s WFI portfolio in priority markets like Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Pakistan. And this is where it gets technical yet transformative: You’ll work with messy, multi-country datasets to uncover patterns, build segmentation models, and develop decision tools that shape inclusive finance strategies. But the real challenge? Making complex data accessible and actionable for diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced segmentation analyses using techniques like k-means clustering and latent class analysis.
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Python, R, and SQL.
- Generate insights on women’s financial access, usage, affordability, and consumer protection.
- Develop dashboards and monitoring tools using Tableau, Power BI, or Plotly.
- Collaborate with researchers and designers to translate data into practical recommendations.
- Ensure data practices are gender-intentional, ethical, and privacy-aware.

Ideal Candidate:
You’ve got 5–8+ years of applied analytics experience, with fluency in Python or R and strong SQL skills. Your portfolio showcases your ability to wrangle messy data and draw defensible inferences. But here’s the kicker: Can you communicate complex findings in a way that’s clear, concise, and actionable? Experience in WFI, inclusive finance, or mobile money ecosystems—especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs)—is a must.

Why GRID Impact?

GRID Impact isn’t just another organization—it’s a collective of mission-driven professionals who believe in the power of behavioral science and human-centered design to tackle complex challenges. Since 2014, they’ve partnered with leading organizations like the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Open Society Foundations, and UNICEF to drive meaningful systems change. Their flexible model allows independent consultants to collaborate across disciplines and continents, creating evidence-driven solutions in financial inclusion, global health, equity, and more.
